Itinerary
Day 1
May 6, 2023
Arrive at Casetta…our home away from home! This beautifully restored farmhouse is tucked away in the rolling Chianti hills of Tuscany.
There, we will rest and recharge after our flights.
Day 2
May 7, 2023
After a Champagne Brunch, we will head to AntiNori, one of the most famous wineries in the area-Chianti. From there, we will go to the Badia San Passignana Abby and Restaurant for dinner.
Day 3
May 8, 2023
After breakfast, We will visit Almof Lech, a beautifully appointed stable owned by my good friend, Angelika Schneider. Angelika and I met over twenty years ago when she came for Natural Horsemanship training in the United States. We both share the same philosophy on training and caring for horses. Her horses are all trained with a foundation of Natural Horsemanship.
We will meet the horses, and Angelika, myself and her team will match you with the horse that fits you best. We will then do some ground work and riding in her beautiful covered arena to get to know our horses better so we are ready to ride them out the following day!
Afterwards, we will have a picnic at the farm with local wines. We will then return to Casetta and have a Pizza Night. This is a tradition at the Casetta- their outdoor wood fired pizza oven definitely produces some of the best pizza in Tuscany, and we will have a hand in helping design them!
Day 4
May 9, 2023
After breakfast, we will return to Almof Lech and ride out through the beautiful Tuscany Countryside!
We will return to a light picnic lunch then we will visit Organic Farm- Camp Oriano. There, they will take us on a tour of the farm. Then we will learn how to make some of their specialty products and take some goodies home!
Day 5
May 10, 2023
We leave for Florence after breakfast to go on a walking tour with Antonella. There we will visit some of the famous landmarks of Florence including the Food Market! This is a great place to buy some souvenirs for home.
Afterwards, we will cook our own dinner with a Celebrity Chef from Florence. These are recipe that we can take home and surprise our family with upon our return!
Day 6
May 11, 2023
11:30 Brunch
2:30 Ride to Winery on Horseback
Tasting and Dinner at Villa Casmiano!
(Horses will be picked up with Van and we will drive back)
Day 7
May 12, 2023
Head Home!
